speed sensor,
generator sensors
Article: MSP676
Pickup Length: 5.00"
Wire length: 4.625"
Cord length: 12.00"
Thread size: 5/8-18 UNF-2A
Drill size: 37/64
Application:
1.The magnetic speed sensor is mounted in the gear housing or flywheel housing of the engine.
2. The threaded hole for the speed sensor should be perpendicular to the crankshaft centerline and centered over the ring gear.
3. A point surface should be present to provide a flat surface to anchor the lock nut.
4. With the engine off, screw in the speedometer until it touches a gear tooth, then back it out 3/4 turn and secure it with the locknut.
5. Any ferrous switch may be used as long as the frequency and amplitude of the resulting signal meet the specifications of the speed control unit.
6. The wire cables should be twisted along their entire length from the magnetic speed sensor to the control unit.
7. Cables may need to be shielded if they are longer than 3 m (10 ft) or if external interference is present.
8. Do not connect any of the speed sensor wires to anything other than the speed control unit being used. The shield should not be connected at the speed sensor end.
